Monferrato D.O.C. Bianco
Baratuciat is a white grape variety, cultivated in Piedmont since ancient times, which risked extinction in the last century in favor of most productive varieties and with constant yield over the years. In recent years, in some areas of Piedmont, some producers have again believed in the features of this vine and have begun to replant the new vineyards of Baratuciat.
The Baratuciat grape is naturally low in yield, so it is quite suitable for obtaining grapes of high quality which thanks to a skillful and meticulous processing in the cellar gives rise to a high quality wine.
In the cellar after a fermentation in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperature to preserve the aromatic component, part of the wine has refined in acacia barriques and part in steel stainless tanks.
After has been refined for several months, the various matches are assembled into a single mass, then it has bottled and consequently it will have a great longevity and refinement capacity. The main feature of the Baratuciat grape is to produce wines with a strong acidity, suitable for aging and also to be transformed into excellent sparkling wines. The main characteristics of the wine thus obtained also are some particular perfumes of flowers, citrus, green apple, and balsamics perfumes too, which, accompanied by a strong acidity, make it a unique and unmistakable wine.
